I got this rig from a friend of mine who got it from a member of Gen Martin Unrein's family in the mid 70's.... Sadly it was not stored all that well and much of the gold wash is gone.....however there is enough to prove it was a gold Gen dagger....including the hangers and gold D-Ring. **** Some might think the initials are MV....But no such General has any initials with MV.....only MU. His affixed GOLD initials are penned through the guard....and his initials are actual gold....worth a small fortune. There is enough gold around the initials and top of guard and in very small area's around pommel and scabbard recesses but one has to look for it... Most is on the guard etc.... Horster TM....MINT blade.....No dents to scabbard.... Hangers still have a fair amount of gold...one spring clip missing spring. Hanger fronts and backs are in very decent condition... Has its original Gold D-ring...with enough gold left its obvious.... Over all a killer Gen dagger of a identified Genera

This is a WWI Pour le Merite issue box. I am open to offers. I do not know the authenticity on this piece hence the asking price. It appears to be old, but I cannot say for sure. That is not my way of weaseling out of calling it a reproduction either. I literally don't know, but I do know what I have in it cost wise. So if you can tell, by all means, school me. I'm not into selling fake items and if I do sell a repro, I'll certainly tell you! Honesty is everything in this hobby. NOTE: I do have a jeweler copy PLM for sale on here and a neck ribbon, but they were NOT acquired with this box. Each item was acquired separately. This listing is for the box only. Paypal add 3% or send as gift. Venmo/Cashier's check/Postal Money order preferred. Email bebiehl@gmail.com
