This is a field-gray wool construction cap of white rabbit fur with fold down side ear lugs and back panels. The cloth tie-string is complete. It has a gray, quilted rayon liner. The interior is clearly marked "RBN ?0035/0093, 55, K43," and thus the cap is a size 55. The "K43" is for "Koln 1943." Wehrmacht aluminum eagle attached to the front. This is an extremely nice cap in near mint condition. A 9 3/4" bright chromed blade and 14 5/8" overall. A very nice dress bayonet produced by the TIGER firm. The bayonet comes with the correct black leather dress frog. The scabbard retains most of its original black paint. The bright blade does have some of the expected scuff marks. One side of the blade is marked with the tiger logo and the other side "TIGER SOLINGEN". The grips are in perfect condition. The other finished parts show light wear. The leather washer is intact.

A nice 36 1/2" x 1 5/8" EM/NCO combat belt that is maker marked and dated 1940. The "GOTT MIT UNS" belt buckle has a nice smooth green finish and is maker marked "R.S.&S.". The belt and buckle show the expected moderate wear of the period.

EXACTLY as the Veteran brought it back as his war souvenir. A beautiful NAZI Officer's Army dagger, manufactured by Eickhorn. It is in great condition . This is an excellent complete example of a Battlefield Captured Heer Single decal, M42 Helmet. It is size ET62, #1575. The helmet retains its original lightly worn, solid strap and liner. The ring is unmarked as to the maker. The cross is in great condition and shows only light signs of age and wear. The award document is a standard size dated "3.4 1942." It was awarded to Unteroffizier Heinrich Rohe who served in Feldlaz (mot) 131. The document is signed by a Generalleutnant. The document has a fold to the middle and a couple of stains to the upper right corner. Of interest, this KvK award document was awarded for a motorized "krankentrager!!" or motorized "ambulance!!"

These were the survivors of the war up until after France, when almost all surviving Infantry enlisted ranks, got promotes to NCO. After 1940 the base uniform color changed to field gray. Some of the rarest buckles from WW Germany and even the buckle collectors cannot appreciate what they are because no "Cool eagle and swasisticker of them Nazis" Collectors are confused by the mis-identification of the generic steel "Brain" industry workers buckle with no Motto, wreath or national symbol, as being for these probationary service personnel . These are the buckle made with no National Emblem but retaining the Heer Motto, worn until reinstatement of membership in the ranks, by Military Prisoners serving sentences .
