This is roughly 38 mm diameter, silver-colored, cast bakelite or proto-plastic whose central obverse image is that of a hand grasping the hilt of a double-edged sword, with a spray of oak leaves and the S.A. logo in the background. Surrounding the image is "SA Gruppen-Sport-Wettkampfe 1938" and "Gruppe Kurpfalz." It is a vertical pin-back device that is secured to the reverse, around which is embossed "Richard Sieper & Sohne, Ludenscheid". This is the SA Wehrmannschaft Armband w/RZM Tag (Sturmabteilung (SA) SA-Wehrsport Armbinde fur das Braunhemd). The approximately 10 cm x 45 cm red cotton armband has a 9 cm diameter white field sewn to it, upon which is the SA sports badge machine woven in copper-colored threads. The SA sports badge is in the form of an upright short sword against a mobile swastika surrounded by an oak leaf wreath. There are some small holes, most likely from wear, which can be seen in the photos. The armband's vertical seam is to the reverse. Complete with a partial original paper RZM tag that someone has stapled to keep it secure. It looks as if it has been glued in an album at so

"Honor Chevron for the Old Guard" Introduced in Feb 1934, and phased out already by September 1934! Only issued or worn at all for a mere SEVEN MONTHS ! The SA Ehrenwinkel, introduced in February 1934, lay on a light brown background. It consisted of an interwoven gold-colored aluminum counter, which had two red dividing strips, about 1 cm wide. The Ehrenwinkel was awarded to all members of the SA who had joined the NSDAP before 30 January 1933 and thus had a membership number of up to 300,000. The rank was irrelevant and so this angle was worn equally by both crew and officer ranks. In September 1934 this style of honor chevron, was replaced by the new system of a single type of Standardized "honor chevron". These indicated early membership for various organizations. They replaced a large number of various stripes of different types which were previously worn on both forearms over the cuff of the uniform jacket.

NSDAP-Jugend organization was formed in 1926 and was overseen by the SA thus the SA designation in the German description. It is constructed of gilded brass, the obverse bearing a central raised NSDAP-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, set within a ribbed circular ring bearing oak leaf branches, the reverse with swivel attachment claws, unmarked, measuring 54 mm (w) by 38 mm (h). This is a brown colored wool cap, with an expansion fold along its crown and fold-down side panels. The side panels scallop downwards towards the front of the cap. This is a brown rayon sleeve badge, introduced in late 1937 for enlisted personnel who had passed the required tests, in the form of an oval, 1 5/8" wide and 2 3/8" tall, upon which is machine woven a red "Lebens" (Life) rune. Officer ranks wore similar specialty insignia, on their lower left sleeves, but that the rune was embroidered in aluminum. This patch has never been used and still has the blue RZM tag attached.
