This one has the burn marks inside that indicates something hot was burning there at one time. In good shape, a few scratches on the top, nothing major. This RAD Hewer has good nickel plating on the hilt that shows only modest signs of age. The pommel eagle remains crisp the reverse with a few minor tap marks present ( which is common with heavy RAD Hewers ) The original antler grip plates are very nice, These plates are retained by screws and spanners that show no wear on the flathead screws and the spanners are a little buggered. The scabbard shell remains straight and has good original black paint. The paint shows a little age. The mounts remain in good condition throughout screw directions are all consistent and go one direction-screw slots are near perfect. The blade on this hewer is excellent, with a fine matte finish and crisp, dark motto. The reverse ricasso is marked with the RAD triangle, Gesch Gesch, and the Mid War Eickhorn Squirrel trademark. A solid example- with a good looking grip-and great patina darkening.

For your consideration, a 1 st Model Railroad dagger from Klaas with overpaint. After measuring the grip, it is slightly longer than a standard Army grip, which conforms to Railroad models. Grip has a crack on the back, does not deter from the piece. Interesting piece with the black underneath the white overlay. Properly marked Klass with the cranes on the blade. I have a email from a noted collector indicating the rarity of the piece and the fact that it dispels the myth of the 1st Model Railway with the overpaint. However, I believe this observation to be incorrect, and it is, in my opinion a 1st model RR dagger. I don't know when the overpaint was done, but have decided to leave the piece as is.

This NSKK Sleeve Eagle is the First Pattern in tan with a partial RZM Tag still attached. The insignia is comprised of a machine woven, silver/aluminum flat-wire thread NSKK eagle and swastika beneath an arching banner reading "N.S.K.K." It measures 95 mm by 50 mm. This insignia was originally worn on the upper right sleeve until late 1938 or early 1939 when it was transferred to the upper left sleeve. Rarely encountered, I have seen them listing for $1850.00 by themselves. Next, a wonderful Imperial Zeppelin badge properly marked Mayer and Willheim Stuttgart Finally, a period postcard of the zeppelin at rest in the hanger at Frankfurt. Interesting vase by Thomas Rosenthal for a Flower arrangement contest in Munich in the year 1939. Nice gold wash lettering, little bit of loss to the National eagle above the Munich Maid. Marked on bottom Thomas Rosenthal 14. Nice decorative piece, I have two of these, the other has a distributor tag on the bottom as well.

For your consideration, probably the cream of the crop in SS stickpins, one made by Otto Gahr, master jeweler of the Third Reich period. in Great shape, no enamel loss and rarely seen. I have seen SS stickpins, but this is the first Gahr I have encountered. Great addition to a stickpin or SS collection.

Who knows who might have touched this baton at the 1936 Olympics? Jesse Owens? Other greats, or perhaps just a practice baton. Only one I have seen in 50 plus years of collecting. The 1936 Olympics is one of my favorites and I always make a point to visit the stadium when visiting Berlin. Baton in great shape and will be an attention getter for your collection.

Civilian pilot badge, quite good looking with blue and gold enamel and gold swastika. Back marked C. E. Juncker Berlin. Enamel on the top of the wings scuffed a bit, other in good shape. Nice M43 cap field Gray with metal skull attached. No other SS insignia has been attached to the side. Marked 58 on the inside, no issues to the cap. Nice addition to an SS collection.
