Original M42 helmet marked NS68 and marked B967 on rear skirt. Shell retains nice original paint and has some small dings on the dome and in a few other areas. National shield looks to be reproduction which I didn't want to remove, will let someone do that. Original liner is complete and has part of the original chinstrap still attached. Rear of liner has name wrote on it, along with front, which I can't clearly make out, and I do not see a ink mark for size. All 3 original rivets and washers look as they should. Nice original M35 helmet with original liner. Helmet retains nice factory paint in and out. The national shield was scraped off and the army decal is still present. Interior skirt marked NS64 and E175 on rear. The original liner shows typical wear and looks to be marked 56 along with the soldiers name. All rivets and washers present and look as they should. During the Era of the Austro-Hungarian Empire this helmet, marked BGB was manufactured, and is a classic example of the production during the WW1 imperial period. It retains in amazing condition its Original factory painted finish, and its original Factory applied Leather Lining in fabulous condition with undamaged chinstrap assembly. During the era of the Nazi's rule, As the expansion of manpower in Hitler's military Helmets became more difficult to source and earlier patterns were soon used up. Surviving helmets of these styles, were sourced and purchased by the fledgling ALLGEMEINE SS, who re-finished them for their own purposes. This is an excellent complete example of a Battlefield Captured Heer Single decal, M42 Helmet. It is size ET62, #1575. The helmet retains its original lightly worn, solid strap and liner. A vet estate find and untouched. It bears the initials of the owner, and shows very moderate service use overall. An excellent addition to the collection. If you fear fakes this great original, is for you.

As you can see this M-35 was upgraded around the Battle of France and when issued was a combat finish single over the original parade green double. For and 80 year old war helmet, it is as fine as anybody could reasonably expect to find.

Original and acquired from the vet who wore it. over 45 years ago. The cover was never off, but I had to because, you know, COLLECTORS! MUST! SEE! So I carefully looked. There is the powdery remains of Nam road dust coating the inside around the top underside of the steel pot, The shell has never been rinsed or wiped. The slits let the road dust accumulate in them as seen in the bare helmet pic. The wear from the edge and also the liner edge is consistent, and the cover is dated 1969. The elastic band is named, dated (unreadable to me) and has comments written on inside and outside. My research indicates he was 173rd Air Mobile. The last photo shows 173rd "The Herd" guys in Nam with a VERY similar helmet showing. In fact for a moment there, I thought I might have found my helmet, but it does not seem the exact same. But The Herd (Airmobile) Evolved from the 11th Airborne, sent to Japan, Developed into Air Assault at Sendai to prove the concept, and later deployed as Air Mobile

Hundreds were removed decades ago in Europe. From captured German combat helmets. They were repainted Black for use by Czech firemen survived almost mint from storage . Around 1980 these were available. The guys who acquired them all sold for a quick buck. I didn't! I Have all sorts of original salvaged Stahlhelm parts, feel free to ask..

I have various sizes of complete original WW2 German combat helmet steel wartime liner frames, complete with the inner spring band. $50 each while they last. I am selling off my nearly forty year collection pieces of mixed Third Reich Militaria. Some pieces will not be guaranteed because there are simply too many fakes. If they ARE NOT guaranteed it will be stated in the description. This is the Luftschutz M38 "Gladiator" Helmet (Reichsluftschutzbund (RLB) Stahlhelm fur einen Angehorigen der Fabrikwache). It is constructed in three pieces, stamped, sheet steel helmet which retains most of its original, smooth, dark satin blue paint. The front center of the helmet has a Luftschutz emblem decal with about 85% remaining (there is some loss of the bottom section of the swastika). The black detailed, silver decal features stylized spread wings with a central oak-leaf sprig and a canted swastika positioned below a scripted banner, "Luftschutz." The helmet has two groups of seven "salt & pepper" ventilation holes to either side of the crown. All three of the small, flat headed, liner retaining rivets are intact. The helmet has an embosse

Recent (5 months ago) estate auction acquisition, along with Luger, SS buckle, partei pins, SS 8 year medal and US A-2 Pilot's uniforms and gear. And I did not buy all I wanted, because the bidding went to the moon at times. I don't usually do any auctions, but this doctor just could not spend his money fast enough. Giant house and 7 storage lockers and sheds, just Packed with whatever excited him. These original war artifacts are getting so expensive! There is so much garbage in the market, that there really are few profitable investment pieces any longer, in any era or nation's finds. This is obviously service used, with a dark army green finish showing equal age and real wear overall. I estimate 90% or more ORIGINAL dark green army paint coverage with no modern rust or "fake aging". Nicely hand named and numbered inside the Neck shield. I got this helmet along with US Army stuff, and some SS cloth insignia and an HJ member Badge, from a 2nd Armored Division Veteran's things at an estate sale a few years ago. They did have to deal with some SS Hitlerjugend Soldiers around the time of the Bulge at the end of December 1944. This must have been a late 1944 issue, and this "Almost like new" helmet's decal, was scraped by the young HJ trooper, following the order to do so. That is definitely a CF Pocher Shield! I wish it was all present, I would not even sell it! If it was a complete decal "Closet Queen" it would bring perhaps $5 Grand more, but it is, what it is. Let me know if you need anything else.

At offer is an original WWII German Afrika Korps Pith helmet with both insignia. The helmet has moth damage, the leather chin strap is missing, and the leather brim liner is deteriorating. NEAR MINT M40 DD Combat Police Helmet. The shell is a SE64 and has a lot number of 7868. Near Perfect Smooth Apple Green paint finish. This helmet still has its original Pigskin chin strap and liner string. Leather liner ink stamped 56 & Strong leather is soft and pliable. The decals have a very nice toned color and are completely intact. This WWII German Combat Police helmet would be tough to upgrade. Purchased in the 1990s from Bob Demel (Antiques Arms & Armor)

Grey paint Tight liner with thin late war chinstrap. 100% Luftwaffe adler decal along with HJ Rhombus decal Size 54 stamped on liner Very small steel shell ( for a kid ) 1942 Ink dome stamp is clear & legible. This helmet is what is commonly known as the Allgemeine-SS ?droop bill? transitional helmet. These were made commercially for the SS by contract, as they had no access to the Wehrmacht supply or recruitment systems until the late 1930s. The Finish started out as field gray and then was given a spray gloss black finish. What they did back in the day they took the field grey ones that they could purchase privately from manufactures and then they shot them up with a spray gun with black gloss paint on the outside and then put a circle on top of the liner and then shot up the inside of the rim. ( Photos here show that ) There are no decals, as this type of helmet was used prior to the advent of ss helmet Insignia. This was a common and expected Hallmark of ss prewar issue helmets. This is a fine example of a text book pre 35 SS parade helmo. Helmet stamped BE64 ( for maker F.C. Bellinger, Fulda )

Listing tonight what appears to be an original authentic WW2 German SS Allgermeine double decal black helmet. The decals I am told is what always comes into question with Nazi helmets. I was told that it is a period 1935. The lining buttons are alittle loose. The lining and chin strap were very dry so I have been applying alittle leather conditioner. The inner helmet metal was very dusty which was cleaned with a damp rag.. This piece origin was bought overseas no other history or provenance is known. There is some type of manufacturer number reverse backside upper lip of helmet. The helmet size is for a very small soldier.
