This is a Wehrmacht Heer Infantry Assault Badge in Silver (Infanteriesturmabzeichen in Silber). This is a mid-war (semi-hollow type) zinc Infantry Assault Badge in Silver. It is constructed of silvered fine zinc, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, diagonally across the badge is a Karabiner 98k rifle with the bayonet attached and the carrying sling hanging from the rifle. The reverse with a raised barrel hinge and vertical pin-back meeting a somewhat deformed wire catch. There is no maker's mark. The badge measures 47 mm (w) by 62 mm (h). The obverse consisting of a circular chain wreath, around a central depiction of a blockade runner cutting through waves with its bow overlaid by a German national eagle clutching a swastika. The reverse has a block hinge and banjo-style pinback and a flat wire catch. Maker marked and in worn condition.

The badge is the German issue and is in excellent condition retaining all finish. Correct needle pin and hook for the German made badge. Examples of both types of this badge are extremely rare. In near mint condition.
WWII German Army Gold Tank Destruction badge. Constructed of a flat gold bullion wire strip with black cotton woven bands along the top and bottom borders. Badge is mounted on an OD green wool backing on the reverse side. The tank and the back plate are stamped steel magnetic construction. This was awarded to a German soldier for single handedly knocking out five Russian tanks. It was to have been worn on the upper left sleeve of the uniform. Textbook example, in slightly worn condition. A scarce and desirable badge.

The shield of the X Division MAS represents a particular and less common variant than the better known one of the X Flotilla MAS. The difference lies in the wording reported: the inscription "Division", used after the transformation of the formation into a unit framed in the National Republican Army of the RSI, replaces the term "Flotilla". The shield was made of enameled metal. This variant had a very limited distribution and for this reason it is considered much rarer than the standard version. Today it is a piece that testifies to the organizational evolution of the Decima and represents an element of great interest for specialized collectors.

This is an Armed Forces 1939 Black Wound Badge, Third Class (Verwundetenabzeichen 1939 in Schwarz). This is an early example, B Type, made of die stamped brass based metal with a black color paint wash. It is clearly maker marked to the reverse "L/11" for "Wilhelm Deumer, Ludenscheid." The hinge, pin and catch all intact to the reverse. The badge is in very good used condition with paint loss to the most exposed parts as seen on real used examples.

This is an Armed Forces 1939 Black Wound Badge, Third Class (Verwundetenabzeichen 1939 in Schwarz). This is the 1939 pattern, die stamped, steel construction, hollow backed badge with a black wash. The badge is in the form of an embossed, vertically oval, laurel leaf wreath encompassing an embossed profile of an M35 pattern helmet with a high relief, canted, swastika to the center, superimposed over crossed swords on a pebbled base field. Complete with original hinge, pin and catch assembly. This badge is late war and retains almost all of its' black wash, except on the raised swastika. There is no maker mark. Very clean!

World War II German Crimean Shield Krimschild with Award Document for Gustav Havel of the 3rd Battalion, 1st Heavy Howitzer Regiment, 1st Panzerarmee (Army Group South). The Document is signed by the Chief of the General Staff of 1st Panzerarmee, Generalmajor Ernst-Felix F?ckenstedt. The reverse is blank, and clean. These two 1942 ORIGINAL items were acquired together. The Krimschild is a less common, 3 - prong (as opposed to the more common 4 - prong) type. The Bronze wash is about all worn away, exposing the Zinc beneath. It's mounted on dark cloth (black that has faded a bit?), likely from a black panzer tunic.

This General Assault Badge is a mid-war solid zinc badge. The reverse is unmarked, but safely attributed to its Ludenscheid based maker "Schauerte & Hohfeld, Ludenscheid." As a solid form badge it is a rare General Assault Badge variant. Apart from the finish loss, this badge has survived in outstanding condition. There is a spot to the reverse that looks like someone apply tape at one time, but it has not affected the badge.
