An exceptional quality large size medallion presented (probably in 1933) for many years of service to the Palatinate economy. (Historically the Rhenish Palatinate (Rheinpfalz), is a region in southwestern Germany). It states on the reverse (between two Swastikas) in German on the medallion : "Fur Langjahrige Mitarbeit im Dienst der Pfalzischen Wirtschaft". trans. "For Many Years Work in the Service of the Palatinate Industry (Economy)". Badge is in the form of a vertical rectangle with embossed outer border and an embossed, downward pointing broad sword with an oak-leaf wreath encompassing a static swastika superimposed on the hilt of the sword, all on a slightly pebbled background field. Background field has embossed script, 'NS I. Reichs Jugendtag', (National Socialist 1st National Youth Day), with a smooth field banner to bottom with impressed date, '1932'. DESCRIPTION: Roughly, 40mm diameter, die struck, two piece alloy construction badge with a fire gilted finish and enamel work. The badge is in the form of a vertical Tyr-rune with a superimposed circular field with embossed runic style script, 'Fur Leistungen in der HJ', (For Proficiency in the HJ), on a slightly textured background field, encompassing an embossed canted swastika. The Tyr-rune and central circular field are mounted on a larger circular base with an embossed laurel leaf wreath to the outside edge encircling an underlying black enamel field. An exceptional quality large size medallion presented (probably in 1933) for many years of service to the Palatinate economy. (Historically the Rhenish Palatinate (Rheinpfalz), is a region in southwestern Germany). It states on the reverse (between two Swastikas) in German on the medallion : "Fur Langjahrige Mitarbeit im Dienst der Pfalzischen Wirtschaft". trans. "For Many Years Work in the Service of the Palatinate Industry (Economy)". The medallion really is in absolutely exceptional condition (please see detailed photos for confirmation of the condition) and appears to be silvered bronze. It was designed by Heinrich Moshage whos initials appear below the three figures depicted. The medal shows Industria extending a laurel branch to a blacksmith and a merchant. It weighs 161 gms and measures 8.00 cms (3.15 ins) in diameter. Absolutely outstanding condition, virtually mint! GB Pounds 99.00 plus postage.

Very rare ( only 19 ever issued) Pioneer of Labor Badge award in its case. This badge was only issued only 19 times and issued to persons like Gustav Krupp, Ferdinand Porsche, Clandius Dornier and other major industrialist from 1940 to the end and awarded by Hitler personally. This medal and case are not numbered as originals probably were so i am thinking it is perhaps a Jewelers sample, salesman sample or one made after the war like in 1950s or so as a museum copy. The quality is excellent and in the old world tradition and constructed as a original. It came from a very old collection from like the 1960s. This is a large table medal measuring almost 2" across and very heavy. It is in recognition of the small animal breeders in the province of Westfalen. On the obverse there is a rabbit and the RDK logo. On the reverse there is a galloping horse. I can find no maker marks on this piece. It comes in its original presentation case which has a few blemishes to the black leather from wear. The set however are in excellent condition and this is certainly a rare table medal. This is my second of this award. Had this one since the 1980's. Nicely marked 3 on the back. A wonderful addition for your labor award collection.

For your consideration, from my Olympic collection, a 1936 Olympic medal with document issued to a Music Student Helga Schon, for participating in the 1936 Olympics. Issued on 5 31 1937. Document in good shape as is the medal. Two hole punches, which are common for documents to be filed. A wonderful addition to your Olympic collection. Frame is not original to the piece.
