I have two of these. I received these with a grouping of SS insignia that came out of the Bad Toelz Officer School. They were originally stapled to a NSDAP flag. Two Flemish BL-SS lapel badges, and these two sleeve diamonds were in the lot. I have only seen one other sleeve diamond like this in my 60+ years of collecting. The other example came off a uniform. These two badges have been discussed on the WAF, and the consensus is, that they are genuine, and are probably associated with either a prototype or are from an axis ally ( probably Holland or Flemish Belgian). The construction and material are consistent with the German versions, but are lacking the wire cording around the diamond as for an officer. The wool material seems to match that of the SS Polizei. I have nevre seen these listed anywhere, even in the reproductions for sale over the years. They are a true anomoly. I have two, so $350 for one; $600 for both. If they ARE NOT guaranteed it will be stated in the description. This is a D.R.A. Sports Badge 1933, First Class Badge in Gold (Reichssportabzeichen DRA ohne Hakenkreuz in Gold). This is a die-struck, tombac, award in the form of an embossed, vertically oval, oak-leaf wreath with bow to bottom, encompassing the interwoven, stylized, cutout letters "DRA", for Deutscher Reichs-Ausschuss, (German National Elite). The reverse has embossed manufacturers mark, "*L. CHR. LAUER NURENBERG *," and "* M.SCH. No 33918 *." It is complete soldered solid hinge, flat vertical retaining pin and standard soldered catch assembly all intact. Overall condition is excellent. I purchased it in 2001 from a private collector in Germany. "Forman's Guide to Third Reich German Awards & Documents, Volume 2" currently values this Badge at $

For your consideration, a Spanish Cross of the Dead for the 315 volunteers that didn't make it back from Spain. This one awarded to the family of Bernhard Busch on 9-15-1939. Seldom encountered, especially with the document to accompany it. I picked this up from a small dealer in Walnut Creek CA in 1979. Only one I have seen. I do have another medal that I will be posting later. The frame is not original to the piece.

I just bought a collection a while back. There are a lot of Japanese related items. I located prices other sellers are asking, and I slashed the total by "A LOT!" to move this stuff out. The total for the pieces I could locate came to over $385, with a bunch of things unidentified and not counted. The rosettes for medals , the enameled Wound badge, The Hat Badge, The Naval stickpin, The medal on the ribbon and several other items were found. A couple guys who have some Japanese helped me, but I want it all gone so, $135 buys it all. That is: Buy the enamel wound badge at web price, and the rest is free! (I think the gold bar, is post war)

This is a second pattern, police cap eagle as introduced on June 25TH 1936 to replace the earlier, (circa April 1934-June 1936), first pattern cap eagle. The single piece, silver washed, die stamped, aluminum construction, right facing eagle features outstretched wings and is clutching a canted swastika in its talons. The eagle is superimposed on an embossed, vertically oval, oak-leaf wreath with the eagles wings extending beyond the outer edges of the wreath with a roughly, 55 mm wingspan. There are no markings to the reverse with both attachment prongs still present. The cap eagle is in outstanding condition and would rate as very fine.

For your consideration, a nicely cased Luftschutz 2nd class medal with ribbon, medal bar and a pin that has an alpine flower on it. Came together like this, so don't want to separate them. Perhaps the owner was involved in an Alpine club or rescue team of some sort. Says NORD on the bottom of the pin. Alpine pin is a nice screwback with no markings. Interesting set and a good addition to your collection.

For your consideration a pinback mine rescue medal. These were always of interest to me, I have another. This one has good patina, and is properly marked on the reserve for the Prussian State mint in fine silver. An interesting badge, in good shape and harder to find. Pictures 2 and 5 properly show the toning to this piece.

Not often do these appear in the market. A very rare German Oak Leaves with Swords to the Knight's Cross with case. Textbook example by maker Godet. Marked "900" and "SILBER" along with the Godet maker mark "L/50". Showing its age on the reverse with some light patina. Original case of issue accompanied with original piece of ribbon. Extremely rare in nicely worn condition.
