The insignia consists of a single, "V" shaped, machine woven, diamond patterned, tress chevron, in subdued, golden/tan rayon with interwoven, fine, black stripes, near both the inner and outer edges. It is machine stitched on a black wool base, which tapers down to a pointed tip. Very Rare DRK / SS Lebensborn Armband has tiny blood blood spray through out the material this armband has been notoriously copied and the fakes have the white runes over the red cross-this has a high quality linen material with sharp graphics. Has legit & legible SS Police Control stamp on front Has original old German safety pin and stamped Gau Kinderheim Bad Polzin on the interior of the armband. No Glow under UV Light- see last picture

It is a vertical, black wool diamond base featuring a black, machine embroidered, Asclepius (serpent entwined on a staff), outlined in silvery/gray rayon threads. The insignia is the same motif as the Medical Officer's badge, but only in outline. The reverse of the insignia retains a semi-translucent, glue like, protective backing. More Information: This tab was for the Forergarde which was the personal Guard of Vidkun Quisling, who was the leader of the puppet Norwegian government during World War II It was founded in 1942 and consisted of 150 men, personally selected by Quisling from members of the Hird, the paramilitary wing of the fascist Nasjonal Samling party (NS). Over time, the unit grew to 250-300 men.
