contains 24 original 9-7/8 x 12-3/4 inch Third Reich prints on heavy cardstock
featuring war art produced and photos taken by NS war correspondents accompanying Wehrmacht troops
on the western front in 1940.
Von Kampf und Sieg des deutschen Soldaten (About the Battle and Victory of German Soldiers) was published by
the Propagandakompanie der Armee Busch (Armee Busch, the 16th Army of German Field Marshal Ernst Busch).

The subject of the photos in this book is the Blitzkrieg in Poland in 1939 and the divisions of that country between the invading German and the Russian armies. Perfect silver plating!
Relatively Rare, this one is in great shape. Nice piece! The pin featured here belonged to the NSBO, which went out of existence in 1934. It later became the GDAO, one of the labor unions of the Third Reich. The design of the pin consists of a gear with a hammer in front of it. At the base there are a couple of laurels and corn nuts. A swastika is placed midpoint of the handle of the hammer. A rectangular sign rests in the lower section and has the letters GDAO in block format. Made by the prestigious Deschler firm, and the quality shows.

Scarce U.S. Army publication, the official U.S. 7th Army report on the concentration camp at Dachau, 72pp. 4to., prepared and distributed to members of the unit by its Office of Strategic Services (OSS) section following the discovery of the camp by elements of the unit in April of 1945. has tiny blood blood spray through out the material
this armband has been notoriously copied and the fakes have the white runes
over the red cross-this has a high quality linen material with sharp graphics.
Has legit & legible SS Police Control stamp on front
Has original old German safety pin and stamped Gau Kinderheim Bad Polzin
on the interior of the armband.

Later pattern, roughly, 10cm tall, 42cm long, fine smooth cotton / rayon blend construction armband with machine woven, black, Gothic script in two lines to the obverse, "Hilfs=Krankentrager", (Auxiliary Stretcher Bearer). The script is encompassed by a machine woven, black, rectangular, simulated rope like border. Both the top and bottom edges of the armband have interwoven rows of reinforcement stitching.

Description:
(Spange zum Eisernen Kreuz 1939 I. Klasse).
Constructed of Silvered Tombak, the obverse consisting of a detailed
Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, above a trapezoidal
plaque bearing a raised date of '1939', the reverse with a block hinge and
tapering vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring
45.32 mm (w) x 30.80 mm (h), weighing 9.8 grams, nice dark patina
-NEVER CLEANED, in overall near extremely fine condition.
The black coloring on reverse is patina-no missing silver finish.
The black patina is from when it was on a uniform for a long time
exposed to the atmosphere.
This Spange has been valued up to $650.00 online by various dealers.
Note: This variation is an example of a design produced by an unknown manufacturer
as discussed in 'The Iron Cross 1. Class', Dietrich Maerz and George Stimson, 2010, pages 556-561.
